John Gilbert - Appointment to the new council structure confirmed

As part of the council’s re-structure and re-design programme, ‘Stronger Together’, the Council has now appointed a new team of senior Board Directors. The re-structure of management teams across the Council is designed to achieve £1.2 million savings.

Children Services, headed by Corporate Director, John Gilbert as the Director of Children’s Services (DCS), is currently split into four directorates:

• Schools & Learning - Director, Paddy Bradley
• Integrated Children & Young People's Services and Safeguarding and Corporate Parenting - Director, Sara Tough
• Strategy & Commissioning - Director, Sue Wald
• Access & Provision - Director, Ian Bickerton

The Directorate structures are currently under review through the Stronger Together Programme and will be published when final structures have been agreed.
